Creative Billboards
Creative billboards force you to be simple. I had this billboard concept “When like turns into love” in my back pocket for quite a while. I have always felt that the most effective creative billboards are centered around a simple truth. Then build a message that resonates around it. In the concept above, Facebook had taken off as the leader in social media and hitting that “like button” meant that somewhere in the world – someone digs what you’re doing. You now have an eternal connection “a special bond” in the social media universe. Not all likes turn into love, but when they do – you go to whom you trust. And in Edmonds, WA that’s family-owned, Cline Jewelers.

Buzz for Grogan Jewelers
So, I put together this “little ditty” (pun intended). It happens to be one of my favorite and creative billboards. Not only for the nice play-on-words but because it passes the 3 second drive-by digestibility test. You can’t help but sing after reading this one. A bonus was that another local business asked, “who did that?”. One of them was a local health care business looking to expand their marketing presence and footprint in the Huntsville area. I did a nice series of billboards for them too.
Dental Billboards
Complete Dental owns multiple locations in the Huntsville, Alabama area. They were looking for billboard concepts that were “out of the boring dental box” to increase their name recognition in the Huntsville market.
Complete Dental saw one of the creative billboards I designed for Grogan Jewelers in the Huntsville, AL (the one you see at the top of this page), and decided to call the store to ask “who did that?” After a bit of discovery and research, we had our first series of boards in three locations around town. One of the first billboards focused on the anxiety patients can get when going to the dentist. Why suffer feeling and listening to that dental drill? “You’re in. You’re out. Sedation Dentistry.” at Complete Dental. I’m sold, sign me up for some Sedation Dentistry!
